The E876 Series is a family of A3 colour multifunction laser printers (MFPs) made for medium-to-large office / workgroup environments where colour printing, scanning, copying, and document handling (workflow) are required. It’s part of HP’s “Managed” line, meaning strong emphasis on security, uptime, and managed print service compatibility. The series has variants with different speeds (40, 50, 60 ppm), and “Flow / z” variants that add enhanced scanning / workflow / user interface features (such as auto-crop, pull-out keyboard etc.).
Speed Variants: Three main speed tiers: 40 ppm, 50 ppm, 60 ppm (for A4) depending on model. The A3 speeds are roughly half of A4 speeds (because of larger format).
Colour + Monochrome Performance: The colour print speed is similar to black/white for ISO tasks, offering very balanced performance.
Duty Cycle / Volume: Designed for high volume; monthly duty cycles up to ~300,000 pages. Recommended monthly volume lower (around 50,000 for many models) for optimal reliability.
Strong Security & Manageability: Includes embedded HP secure hard disks, encryption (AES-256), secure erase capabilities, and features to help protect against firmware & software attacks.
Paper Handling & Flexibility: A3 capable; multiple trays; optional high capacity trays; automatic duplex printing; support for various media weights.
Workflow Enhancements in Flow / z Variants: These include better scan speeds (duplex scanning), better interfaces (touchscreens, sometimes pull-out keyboards), better document routing / OCR etc.

Connectivity: Standard: Gigabit Ethernet; USB Host and Device; Hardware Integration Pocket. Wireless is optional via accessories.
Automatic Duplex Printing: Yes (standard)
Scanner / ADF: Standard: Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), with duplex scanning (for many models). Scan formats include PDF, searchable PDF (OCR), TIFF, JPEG, etc. Scan speeds quite high in Flow / z variants.
Media Support (Sizes / Types / Weights) A3 to smaller sizes; many trays; media weight in main trays: ~60-300 g/m²; ADF has somewhat tighter ranges; supports variety of media types (plain, glossy, matte, heavy, envelopes, etc.).
Paper Capacity: Standard: 100-sheet multi-purpose tray + 2 × 520-sheet trays + 250-sheet ADF. Optional higher capacity trays (e.g. 2150 or 3000-sheet) on some models.
Output Capacity: Standard 500 sheet face-down; optional finishers etc. Max total (with options) up to ~3,250 sheets depending on configuration.
Weight & Dimensions: For Flow / 60-ppm model (E87660z): ~113.1 kg; dimensions ~585 × 785 × 932.2 mm (W × D × H) standard; footprint grows with optional trays/finishers.
